Owner Aimee Mckechnie wanted to create somewhere really special to spend time with family and friends, away from the city and never ending to-do lists. Her goal was to have an oasis of calm that people could retreat to with the kids and chill out. Why Gerringong? The town is located on the edge of beautiful Lake Jindabyne and offers outdoor adventure, gourmet delights and vibrant nightlife, and in the colder months, is a great spot to stay to be close to the snow fields

Owners Interior Designer/Stylist Simone and Builder husband Ben, wanted the SOUL of Gerringong to be a place that many can come to relax and escape the daily grind. They wanted to bring a bit of what they do so well in Byron Bay and Bali to the NSW South Coast. They stumbled across the property on a weekend away, and after nine months of intense renovation opened the doors to the SOUL of Gerringong – a farmhouse with a newly added barn and cabana borne out of the original materials. One year on, SOUL Cottage opened, which was a renovation of the original cottage where farmhands once stayed. The result of everything you ever want in a holiday property – from the tea and coffee facilities to the fireplace and landscaped gardens.
