How to wash linen sheets?

To start, always check the care label for special instructions. Most linen sheets in Australia can be washed in a standard washing machine, but separate them from other fabrics if possible, and separate into lights and darks. Wash on a cold gentle cycle, as hot water may cause linen to shrink or weaken the fibres, with a delicate detergent and no bleach.
